Renovations – Tennyson St

This award winning house is an old Queenslander with an existing shop on the street front located in an inner city suburb. The clients wanted to set up a dental practice in the shop and live in the house. Having lived in the tropical north for many years the clients were keen to still keep living on the “deck.”  Their brief was to maintain the character façade and have contemporary styled additions.

A feature of the house is the dining room which juts out into the deck in the shape of a leaf, bi-folding doors open up to the deck and change of flooring material helps to further define this area.
