The site is located on a sharply angled corner site in Newstead. The client’s brief for this challenging site was for a four storey building with retail space on the ground floor, two levels of office space, two levels of car parking, and a residential penthouse with lap pool above.

These requirements dramatically exceeded Council’s requirements for the site.  The resulting approval is a nautical styled building with a uniform and modern external appearance.

The client required a lightweight form of construction which has been achieved through the use of open internal structural elements.  The interior design utilises the structural framework as a feature to present a modern stylistic finish.
